When organizational communication is running at peak performance, the benefits are evident: people are more engaged, things run more efficiently because time isn’t wasted, decisions are clear to everyone, and the organization is able to respond quickly and accurately to situations that arise. Unfortunately, when communication is not ideal, the downfalls are also clear: work is done in multiple places, projects run over time and/or budget, people don’t know what they are supposed be doing, in-fighting and negative attitudes arise, decisions are slow, laborious and unclear.
